Techstart CEO Jon Putman and NBA Star Dikembe Mutombo share the same interest in telemedicine.

 

The Dikembe Mutombo Foundation is supporting the medical staff at the Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital (in Democratic Republic of the Congo).  The goal of this project is to provide both telemedicine and continuing medical education capabilities for the other hospitals and healthcare clinics throughout the country.   

 

The Dikembe Mutombo Foundation is dedicated to improving the health, education and quality of life for the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Foundation strives to accomplish this goal through an emphasis on primary health care and disease prevention, the promotion of health policy, health research and increased access to health care education for the people of the Congo.
